Celebrating 20 years in operation, Halifax Crafters Society is honoured to support and celebrate Halifax’s vibrant community of local artists and crafters. In 2004, we hosted our very first event at the Khyber with just twenty crafters. Since then, Halifax crafters has grown to accommodate up to 95 vendors at our bi-annual markets that we host downtown Halifax at The Light House Arts Centre.
We are a non-profit, volunteer-based organization with a mission to cultivate an accessible environment for craftspeople. We aim to do this by providing them with opportunities to grow, and helping to create connections within the community.
Our bi-annual markets take place in early Spring and early Winter. Each show is juried, creating a carefully curated and unique market where established and emerging crafters show their work side by side.
To keep our shows financially accessible, we rely on our incredible team of dedicated volunteer organizers, as well as the generosity and support of our sponsorship partners.
